Staff Repoter :: Jarwa House and ICE Today has recently organized the brand new annual award ceremony that promotes the wedding industry of Bangladesh. The “Best in the Wedding Industry Awards 2019” brought wedding movers and shakers in the realm of beauty, wedding planning and photography of Bangladesh under one roof. The lavish event commenced with a red carpet ceremony at the Skyball room of Le Meridien Dhaka on October 5th at 7.30.

The ceremony will host a range of awards in two broad categories. Under the ICE Today special awards the winners were, Persona for Trendsetting Enterprise in the Beauty Industry; Farzana Shakil’s Makeover Salon for Wedding Lookmaker of the decade; BANTHAI for Most Successful hair care Service Provider; AURA Beauty Lounge for Emerging Enterprise in the Beauty Industry; Badal Roy, MD, Jarwa House for Legend in the Jewelry Business; Rina Latif for Lifetime Achievement in Bridal Couture Industry; Benarasi Kuthi for Best Traditional Bridal Wear; Prito Reza for Outstanding Contribution in Wedding Photography Industry and Mehruz Munir for the Disruptor Designer in Men’s Couture Industry.

Jury award was provided under categories that included Bridal beauty Industry, Wedding Planning & Decorations and Wedding Photography. The winner under bridal beauty industry were Anika Bushra from Splendor by Anika Bushra for Best Bridal Makeup Artist and Gala Makeover Studio and Salon by Navin Ahmed for Best Bridal Makeover. The winners under Wedding Planning & Decorations category were Enchanted Events & Prints and Event Touch International. The winners under Wedding Photography were ARTLAND for Best Photography Service; Checkmate Events for Best Production House and Wedding Diary for Best wedding filmmaker of the Year.

The first-ever ‘Best in the Wedding Industry Awards’ ceremony acknowledged the finest names in wedding services for a truly elegant, stylish and sophisticated wedding experience.H.E. JoAnne Wagner, Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy in Dhaka attended the event as Chief Guest. The partners of the award show were INGLOT as the cosmetic partner, Aura Beauty Lounge the makeover partner, Laser Treat as the skincare partner, Bioscope as the streaming partner, Mohammad & Sons the watch partner, Le Meridien Dhaka the hospitality partner and Explore Spa by Le Meridien Dhaka as the spa partner. The PR partner of the program was Concito PR and the event photography partner was Studio Lorenzo

Winners in beauty, wedding decorations and Wedding photography were chosen by a panel of juries consisting of renowned makeup artist Farzana Shakil; Zara Mahbub, CEO and Country Director of Kazi ICT Limited: Zafar Sobhan, Editor of Dhaka Tribune; Konka Karim, Features Editor of NewAge; renowned photojournalist Din Mohammad Shibly, Nawshin Khair Executive Director of ICE Media Ltd and Goutom Saha, Fashion Editor of ICE Today magazine.

The awards ceremony also hosted a fashion show featuring gems of Jarwa House, and clothing from Aranya, O2, Rose by Nizhu and Splash. Supermodel Jannatul Ferdous Peya will anchor the show. The welcome speech will be given by Nawshin Khair, Executive Director of ICE Media Limited.
