Staff Repoter :: LG Electronics Bangladesh Branch has launched ‘LG Ambassador Program 2020’ making a contribution to helpless on fighting COVID-19 pandemic. This social initiative was officially launched at its local office in Gulshan on May 31, 2020. LG Bangladesh’s Managing Director Mr. DK Son addressed the inaugural function. Among others, Hasan Mahmudul, head of corporate branding, and other senior officials of the company were also present at the function.

LG Bangladesh has been organising the programme since 2017 across the country.Like the past, this year LG Bangladesh called for social initiative ideas for new projects to give hand to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. They leave a post on social networking site facebook on April 27, 2020 to call for submitting project proposal in this regard. Off them, LG Bangladesh will finance of the wining projects.

Of the submitted projects, the project of Nazrul Islam of South Relibagan in Narayanganj district has been selected as the first winner of the programme. He was awarded with Tk 4,40,000 to implement his social project which will ensure food safety of 174 poverty-stricken families.Under this project, each family will be provided 25 kg rice, 5 kg of pulses, 5 litres of oil, 2 kg of flour, 2 kg of potatoes, 1 kg of salt and 2 pieces of hand-soap.

Managing Director of LG Bangladesh Mr. DK Son said, “LG Bangladesh stands by the social development plan to aid the helpless people in the Covid-19 situation. We call for further projects under LG Ambassador Program 2020 through through LG Bangladesh’s official Facebook page. Ideas for new projects can be submitted till July 30.
