Staff Repoter :: JCI Dhaka East organized an Advocacy Workshop on the Role of Metrology to Protect Consumer Rights and Positive Impact on the National Economy with a view to raising consumer awareness on national standards, right to information and role of metrology affecting our everyday life.

Abdus Samad, Assistant Director, BSTI and Engr. Abdullah Al Mamun, Assistant Director (Metrology), BSTI had an interactive panel discussion pertinent to national and international standardization, calibration and verification, current capacity and future vision of BSTI, role of the metrology wing pertaining to pre-packaged food and consumer right to information with special emphasis on weights and measurement. Ahmed A Rahman, Chairperson of JCI Asia Pacific Development Council (Former Local President of JCI Dhaka East) Ms. Rumana Chowdhury, National Director of JCI Bangladesh Mr. Mahmud-un-Nabi and Local President of JCI Dhaka East Mr. Asib Akram Auvi also graced the occasion with their valuable presence. The Advocacy workshop was moderated by Ms. Shahmina Isha Mannan, Local Director of JCI Dhaka East and was coordinated by Ms. Salma Akhter Hira, COC of the event.
