Staff Repoter :: The British Council (Bangladesh) has signed an agreement with SSL Wireless for using their SSLCOMMERZ payment gateway. The Signing Ceremony took place at the corporate office of SSL Wireless in New Eskaton Road on 10th February.

British Council is a global organization specializing in international culture and educational opportunities which is working in Bangladesh to develop English language skills of students, educators and general citizens through various training programs, advisory services and certifications such as, IELTS while SSL Wireless, being an authorized Payment Systems Operator (PSO) and PCI DSS compliant service provider in Bangladesh, has been working in the Digital & E-Commerce sector for a long time and enabling organizations, businesses and E-Commerce companies to accept digital payments in Bangladesh.

From British Council, Director Examinations Mr. Sebastian Pearce, Head of Exam Distribution Mr. Ahsanul Azad and Head of Procurement Mr. Asraful Islam and From SSL Wireless, Mr. Ashish Chakraborty, COO and Mr. Shahzada Redwan, CTO and Mr. M Nawat Ashekin, Head of E-Commerce Services and other high officials were present at the occasion.

By having this agreement, British Council (Bangladesh) is highly interested to enable their students and citizens to pay online for availing their services. This is another step forward for the education sector which will further promote digital payments and encourage other institutes to accept online payments in Bangladesh.
